We're looking for a energetic and outgoing individuals to join our Exeter & Portsmouth teams as Dishwashers / Kitchen Assist team members! Full Time or Part Time available.

As Dishwasher / Kitchen Assist , you will be responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitizing tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment with speed, efficacy and efficiency.

This position requires you to maintain a clean and organized work area. You will collaborate with front of house team members to maintain cleanliness and order of the dining room, patio, and other customer areas as needed.

Other responsibilities including assisting the back kitchen team with food prep as needed and receiving / putting away food and supply deliveries.

Our culture is one of connection and collaboration so this role will closely work with members across all aspects of our team, especially the back kitchen team.

As with all team members, the Dish / Kitchen Assist team member fulfills any other duties the manager, or owner assigns and represent LANEY & LU in a professional manner that demonstrates our values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other restaurant tools, wares, and equipment using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Keep dishwasher and work area clean and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to Leadership.
• Monitor dishwasher water and sink temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Organize clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in storage areas.
• Assist with kitchen prep lists, stocking packaging / retail items, other similar duties as needed.
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
• Clean bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, and other cleaning projects as assigned.
• Offer suggestions for continuous improvement of operations and / or employee and guest experience.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Take out garbage, linens, compost and recycling as needed.

• Accurately deliver orders in a safe and timely manner between the hours of 9am-5pm within a 5 mile radius
• Properly follow any delivery instructions listed on delivery slips
