Lanese & Associates is a well established CPA firm in the south Hillsborough county area. We are currently building a team of tax professionals with several goals in mind. These goals include employee growth, enjoying the profession and future succession opportunities. We are fully "paperless" and partial working from home is available and encouraged.

Responsibilities:

- Federal & state income tax return preparation (primarily 1040, 1120S, 1065) and all related work and analysis that goes with

- Other work for our clients: bookkeeping, sales tax, payroll preparation and other

Qualifications Required:

- Have worked in public accounting a plus

- Bachelors in Accounting or working toward.

- Have or plan to receive CPA / EA (CPA preferred)

- Knowledge of QuickBooks desktop & online versions a plus

- Fully versed in Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.)

- Strong computer skills including: navigation of programs/using remote desktop connection/ basic Microsoft keyboard shortcuts

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Note: We use the Thomson Reuters suite of tax programs (UltraTax, FileCabinet, Fixed Assets, Practice, etc.) any knowledge of these is a plus.

Posted salary is dependent upon experience and skill level.
