POSITION PURPOSE:
This position serves as the project director for Lane County’s 21st Century consortium grant and provides guidance, planning and implementation support to districts. This position is responsible for ensuring grant requirements are met, including monitoring budget allocations and expenditures are aligned with grant parameters. The incumbent must be able to apply equitable and inclusive practices and actively contribute to developing and maintaining a community of belonging in support of the ESDs goal/vision to eliminate academic disparities among students because of race, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The primary duties and accountabilities for the position include:
  • Coordinates implementation of Lane County 21st Century consortium grant.
    • Collect and analyze student and program assessment data to evaluate student and program outcomes/impact, and to inform continuous improvement of programs/services.
    • Provide leadership and oversight of district programs to ensure effective services to students in alignment with grant goals.
    • Assist districts in gathering and analyzing information from students and families to support program improvement. 
    • Assist districts in facilitating family and community partnerships to enhance services to students and families.
    • Plan, facilitate, and lead consortium meetings.
    • Communicate and act as liaison between, Oregon Department of Education (ODE) and districts; attend monthly grant meetings as required.
    • Facilitate outreach and promotional activities (i.e program descriptions, press releases, community presentations).
  • Assist with oversight of grant budgets and related activities, including maintaining knowledge of reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Complete annual grant reporting requirements.
    • Collect and maintain consortium agreements. 
    • Oversee equipment purchases and inventory.
    • Oversee data collection and grant reporting; prepare reports as assigned. 
  • Maintain knowledge and skills related to current research (PreK-Grade 12), effective practices related to extended learning, social emotional learning, culturally responsive practices, and trauma informed services. 
  • Coordinate and support the identification and development of resources, including community partnerships and grants to maintain or enhance 21st Century grant programs/services.
    • Prepare and submit grant applications within the ESD grant planning process.
    • Oversee the implementation of grants awarded or community partnership projects as assigned.
    • Collect and analyze data as required to document outcomes and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Submit reports and documentation as required.
  • Prepare and submit written reports as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/TRAINING:
  • Bachelor degree in education, social services, or related areas is required. One-two years’ experience with coordination of multi-agency projects required. Experience facilitating or training school staff, community, and/or parent groups is preferred.
  • The ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students and staff is required. Spanish language skills preferred. The ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or family information is required. Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating meetings and providing technical assistance required.
  • Proficiency in the use of web-based communication tools and information sharing systems, spreadsheet, and word processing software to perform the duties of the position and knowledge of basic bookkeeping processes are required.
  • A valid Oregon driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Complete job learning time may take 3-6 months.
