Overall Responsibility:

The Treatment Coordinator is essential to ensuring patients receive a 5-star experience. They are responsible for providing excellent patient care that begins with the initial phone call, and includes managing multiple provider schedules, as well as enforcing patient financial obligations, and assisting in dental insurance details related to treatment planning case acceptance.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing telephone calls, controlling, and scheduling patient appointments including gathering patient’s insurance information and updating current info.
  • Confirming and documenting patient appointments.
  • Ensuring the next day’s schedule is filled for the doctor, utilizing various reports.
  • Reinforces the financial policy of the office and ensures payments are current.
  • Checking in patients utilizing dental software and ensuring proper paperwork given and filled out by patients.
  • Enters transactions and posts payment at time of patient check-out. Offices with Oral Surgeons collect surgery patient’s payments at check-in.
  • Verifies insurance coverage and eligibility and updates info in our systems.
  • Maintaining electronic records for patients (scanning and sorting documents)
  • Shares maintenance duties and keeps workspace neat and clean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a dental office setting
  • Oral Surgery, Peds, and/or Orthodontic experience is a plus!
  • Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.
  • Hours of operation : Monday - Thursday : 8AM -5PM, Friday: 8AM-2PM
