Overall Responsibility:

The Insurance Plan Specialist will fill an important role for safeguarding our company’s revenues. The goal and overall day to day expectations will be to contribute to decreasing the current A/R in the practices, making sure plans are entered correctly and information is up to date, so the office can present accurate treatment plans to the patients. They will also ensure that plans are not duplicated in the system and they are linked to the correct fee schedule.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Daily/Weekly/Monthly Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing the schedule
• Calling the insurance companies and utilizing web access to receive insurance verifications and eligibility for patients.
• Creating Plans in Denticon:
• Adding the insurance name, Group number, Employer, Maximums and deductibles
• Listing exceptions, Non-Dup, waiting periods, missing tooth clause, replacement clauses
• Entering benefits with frequencies and age limitations
• Attaching to the correct fee schedule.
• Attaching plan up to patient, listing maximum used, frequencies for exams, x-rays, cleanings
• Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a dental office or dental billing environment
• Denticon experience is a plus
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
