Government Billing Analyst

Location : Remote - Rockford, IL or Jacksonville, FL (Orientation will be conducted On-site)

Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Salary range : $17.12 - $21.39 per hour, depending upon experience.

What work will you perform?

Government billing auditors & account representatives accurately audit, correct, process and collect invoices to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You will support agents, capacity and other employees as needed. If you are a self-starter and eager to learn this is the job for you!

Essential Responsibilities :

• Process freight bills using a windows-based PC, the Internet and paperless billing system using accurate EDI references to ensure proper transmission in accordance with production standards.
• Read, interpret, and explain government rules and be able to analyze, compare and draw conclusions.
• Resolve billing and collection issues and reconcile discrepancies.
• Retain complete, accurate and organized records of billing and collections activities
• Communicate with agents, capacity providers and customers to obtain necessary billing and collections support documents.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 6 months experience working with computers.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Experience and Education :

Bachelor's degree

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Proficiency with Excel basic functionality.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Problem solving with minimal oversight.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
