Summary of Position:

This position is to maintain all grounds, facilities, equipment etc. at Kenai Landing. Maintenance is additionally responsible for keeping the parking lot clean and foliage/ plants watered and maintained. Such duties must be carried out with a professional attitude. This position is expected to follow the direction of the Facility Engineer and must assist other maintenance employees in completion of duties, as necessary.

Essential Functions:

1. Facility Engineer or Project Manager when directed.

2. Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on property equipment and tools as directed by management.

3. Pick up trash and discard unwantedmaterials from the property.

4. Replacement or repair of equipment, in particular mechanical equipment like motors and pumps.

5. Maintain cleanliness of workshop area.

6. Water and tend flowerbeds, flower boxes, trees and plants around Kenai Landing property.

7. Maintaining grounds and landscaping including tending to plants and flowers, weeding, shoveling snow, trim grass, trees, and hedges as needed.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Basic mechanical skills.

2. Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems

3. Skills and experience in carpentry.

4. Able to be a team player with a willingness to help Land’s End Resort achieve the reputation as a premier destination resort.

5. Ability to anticipate problems and troubleshoot problem areas.

6. Safe work practices.

7. In good physical health, which includes but is not limited to ability to kneel and/or squat for extended periods of time, flexibility to work in cramped and/or overheated areas, bend over, hold weight overhead and climb ladders.

8. Able to work on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and lift 75 pounds.

Qualifications: Must have experience in general maintenance. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
