Landfill Equipment Operator

A government agency located in Milton needs a temporary landfill equipment operator to join its team. The position will operate heavy equipment for the landfill and perform minor maintenance of assigned equipment and do manual labor tasks. • Operating and maintenance of landfill equipment
• Using graders, pans, draglines, bulldozers, backhoes, and compactors
• Operating smaller equipment such as lowboy, dump truck, and boom tractor
• Performing labor tasks
• Washing, cleaning, and giving routine first-echelon maintenance to equipment
• Working outdoors in varying adverse weather

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment
• The ability to drive and operate medium and heavy construction equipment
• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to bend, stoop, and climb.
• Highly motivated and intuitive about what needs to be done
• Organized and have an eye for detail
• A team player with a positive attitude

• For this position, you will be paid starting at $14.67/hour
• Hours are from 6:30 am-5:00 pm 4 days a week
• This assignment is considered Contract-to-Direct, meaning you will remain on Landrum’s payroll for at least 600 hours. Once the 600 hours are over, your employer can elect to bring you onto their payroll or extend the assignment longer through Landrum.
