HR Payroll Advisor

What you’ll be doing to make an impact :

• Ensure payroll data is complete, accurate, and meets standards required by federal and state agencies.
• Research and analyze data to identify and determine the origin of the discrepancies / issues, causes, and impacts throughout the system.
• Complete all payroll cycle processing for off-cycle special pay cycles.
• Run and validate all tax reports for biweekly, quarterly, and annual reporting coordinating with HRIS, General Accounting, and vendor.
• Provide Internal and external auditors with requested payroll data.
• Initiate, coordinate, and execute reporting of data exchanges with external vendors, various HR, and other sections within the organization to identify and coordinate resolution for issues / problems.
• Serve as point of contact for direct deposit questions, payroll deposit rejections, and outside financial institution account issues affecting employee payroll.
• Research and resolve paycheck discrepancies, leave balances, overpayments, and other related adjustments.
• Participate in projects or portions of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the table :

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human Resources, Accounting, or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
• Professional organization accreditation for payroll and HR
• Bank Secrecy Section (BSA) : Remains cognizant of and adheres to policies and procedures, and regulations about the Bank Secrecy Act.
• Familiarity with Payroll systems (e.g., Oracle, My HR System, ServiceNow, Outlook, My HR Portal) and the interrelations among data fields and panels within the system
• Significant experience performing data entry, reporting, and auditing.
• Exposure to managing multiple priorities independently and / or in a team environment to achieve goals.
• Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective skill in maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and concisely.
• Effective skills exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
• Experience in handling highly confidential and sensitive situations
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Basic database and presentation software skills
• Proficient word processing and spreadsheet software skills
