Airports Groundskeeper

The airports in Crestviewand Destin need full-time Airport Groundskeepers to join their teams . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for steady, full-time work with a company that looks after its employees and has potential progression routes for the right people .

What you’ll be doing :

Repairs and maintains assigned grounds by carrying out landscaping duties to include, mowing, weeding, pest control, and pruning;

repairs and maintains irrigation systems.

• Operates manual, electrical, and gas-powered tools and equipment (i.e., lawn mower, weed-eater, blower, hedger, etc.).
• Sweeps and polices runways and taxiways. (Safety training is provided when work is conducted in an active airfield environment.)
• Performs ornamental spraying with designated chemicals; complies with all EPA standards and guidelines, as needed.
• Cleans equipment with assigned cleaning supplies; maintains cleanliness and order in assigned storage rooms.
• Prepares areas for sodding; repairs public safety hazards (i.e., ground holes, loose turf).
• Performs maintenance checks on grounds equipment and vehicles; performs repairs (i.e., small engine and electric motor overhauls, fuel system replacement, wiring, welding);

reports equipment malfunctions and facility maintenance needs to supervisor.

Performs related duties as required.

What you’ll bring to the job :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Landscape or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Commitment to always working safely
