Landpoint is Hiring a GIS Developer Near Fort Worth, TX

Landpoint is seeking a GIS Developer for a position in the Fort Worth, TX office.

As a GIS Developer, you will be responsible for building, updating, and maintaining digital data for the company. You will also be responsible for developing software solutions using cutting-edge technologies, creating cloud based solutions and apps, as well as developing automation

The GIS Developer is responsible for the implementation of GIS systems and creating spatial data in a variety of formats.

GIS Developer / Web Developer Responsibilities:

  1. Create GIS Software Applications, Web Applications, and geoprocessing tools.
  2. Implementation and administration of GIS Enterprise solutions
  3. Workflow design, creation, and automation
  4. Understand client needs and work accordingly.
  5. Plan and implement GIS projects in accordance with project scope
  6. Maintain the database with a focus on SQL queries and maintenance queries.
  7. Create spatial data from scratch or by adapting existing data sets.
  8. Retrieve, process, clean, and analyze data from various sources such as web services (WMS/WFS).
  9. Provide maintenance for GIS Applications and web-based applications.
  10. Ability to create spatial analysis and algorithms to analyze, manage, and visualize data in various forms
  11. Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  12. Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  13. Demonstrated market analytical skills
  14. Demonstrated programming skills, preferably object oriented programing

Required skills

  • Minimum 5 years on the job GIS Experience

Preferred skills

  • 3 years Oil and Gas data experience
  • ARC GIS Enterprise development and administration
  • Experience with FME development
  • Python scripting
  • Java script programming
  • ARC Online
