I. Job Description: Responsible for preparing trailers forloading, loading finished product for shipments, and verifying the accuracy ofcustomer orders being shipped. II. Qualifications: 1. Mustbe self-motivated with the ability to achieve desired objectives.2. Mustbe licensed, or have the ability to be licensed, in the use of forklifts,electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, case pick lifts, and hand jacks.3. Musthave basic mathematical skills.4. Musthave strong written and oral communication skills. III. Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. continuously for upto eight hours of an ten-hour shift.2. Mustbe able to tolerate temperatures between 33 degrees and 40 degrees for theduration of an eight-hour shift.3. Mustbe able to tolerate a temperature of 0 degrees for up to two hours of aneight-hour shift.4. Walking,bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing required for up to six hours of aneight-hour shift.5. Must weigh less than 375 pounds in order tobe able to wear fall protection. IV. General Responsibilities: 1. Remove pallets, and wash out trailers before loading.2. Settrailer cooling unit at appropriate temperature.3. Loadtrailers in an orderly manner as specified, making decisions on stackingcombinations for palletized loads.4. Verifyshipments for correct product codes and case counts, and make appropriatedocumentation on loading paperwork.5. Stretchwrap products for shipment as required.6. Applyshipping labels to products as required.7. Sortusable from non-usable pallets while loading.8. Removedamaged or retained product from inventory.9. Maintainproper cleanliness and FIFO rotation of finished product coolers and otherdepartmental areas.10. Load andunload products for transfer to and from external warehouses. Make appropriate inventory transactions.11. Assist instaging, freezer, and drop zone operations as required.12. Follow allsafety rules and procedures.13. Responsible for adhering to all food safety, qualityand GMP procedures specific to this position V. Equipment Operated: 1.
