The Pavilion Rehab and Nursing is hiring for part-time and per diem Dietary Aides

As the Dietary Aide for The Pavilion, you will assists with sanitary food preparation, storage, plating and delivery under the direction of the Dietary Director, Dietary Manager, and cooks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS of the Dietary Aide:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Prefer one-year experience as food service aide in an institutional or healthcare food service setting.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English. Other languages helpful.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.

JOB FUNCTIONS of the Dietary Aide:

  • Assists with food preparation under supervision and as assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in tray line production to ensure accurate assembly of trays so that condiments, meals, liquids, altered textures, therapeutic foods, and adaptive equipment on the trays match the specifications on the tray cards.
  • Helps ensure timely delivery of assembled trays to dining rooms and nursing units.
  • Handles and stores all food and equipment according to center procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
  • Demonstrates ability to use equipment in a safe manor to prevent injury of self or others in accordance to manufactures, and/or supervisors’ directions.
  • Utilizes dishwasher and pot washing sinks to ensure that dishes, pots, pans, cups, trays, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and dried.

All staff members must be in compliance with the Department of Health's COVID-19 Up to Date Vaccination Guidance.
