Rehab Tech Responsibilities:

• Transporting patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support
• Secures and positions patients into or onto therapy equipment
• Provides added safety during treatments with patients and patient's equipment, i.e. IV poles, oxygen tanks, Foley bags, etc.
• Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients practicing exercises and functional activities
• Under direction of therapy staff, measures vital signs to determine effects of treatments on or for patient evaluations
• Keeps area, supplies, and equipment organized and disinfected between treatments
• Participates in patient care tasks such as assisting with passing food trays, toilet hygiene, feeding patients, and transferring patients out of bed
• May also perform other duties as assigned

Rehab Tech Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• CNA or PCT certification preferred
• Current BLS certification
• 1 year of healthcare experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• Must be organized, a team player, and detail-oriented
