About the Role

Our Milwaukee Business is in search of an experienced General Manager to head up all business operations and fuel growth in our region. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership abilities, capable of devising growth strategies, managing budgets, building strong teams, and effectively communicating business goals to ensure efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. As the General Manager for our Milwaukee operations, you'll be responsible for leading a team of 60 professionals across various locations, including 5-8 direct reports in sales, administration, and production.

General Manager Responsibilities:

Overseeing operations across multiple sites and leadership teams.

Cultivating constructive working relationships with staff, leading through exemplary conduct.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to efficiently allocate resources, encompassing personnel, equipment, and materials. Ensuring clear understanding of roles and responsibilities among team members.

Manage budgeting and cost control within their department, monitoring expenses and optimizing operational efficiency to maximize profitability.

Continuously evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement

Analyze key performance metrics to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

General Manager Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of management experience. Home services/ landscaping experience is a plus.

Strong leadership skills with proven experience managing teams and delivering results

Great interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities.

to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and other stakeholders

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and analyze situations.

Good observation skills & ability to deliver constructive criticism.

Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and basic Math skills.

Experience in reading a P&L and using financials to lead the business

There are some conditions we need to make you aware of:

You must believe in and always maintain a safe work environment – we need everyone to go home every day to their loved ones - it’s a big deal.

Working indoors and outdoors, in varying temperatures, humidity, noise, or lighting.

Exposure to hazards, such as chemicals, electricity, or machinery/tools.

Working as needed to lead the business. Mostly M-F but some random weekend time. The business starts early and does have seasonality to it over the year.

The ability to lift 10-50 lbs. regularly and can stand, sit, and bend on a consistent basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Exempt Role = $110,000-125,000 per year (based on experience) plus annual bonus & consideration for equity shares.
