Title : Materials Handler (Heavy) I - 2nd Shift
Location : Altavista, VA 24517
Duration : 6 Months
Shift : 3 PM to 11 : 30 PM
Description :
Exempt / Non Exempt : Non Exempt Years Experience : 0-2 Skills : Computer Skills; shipping / receiving; kiting; forklift Education : HS or Equivalent Duties : This position is NonExempt.
Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. Loads, unloads, and moves materials (crates, boxes and raw materials) within or near plant, yard or work site.
Reads and follows work orders and / or oral instructions; uses hand tools to open containers. Transports materials using handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow or other devices.
Additional experience required - Data entry using ORACLE (ADMS). Measure and weigh materials using weighing scale and ruler or similar devices.
Computer Skills. Experience with shipping (UPS / FedEx) and receiving (preferred). Will be required to operate an electric or battery operated Forklift and / or other heavy machinery equipment.
