Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Miami, FL 33196
Shift: 8 am – 5 pm (Mon - Fri)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Responsibilities:
Perform preparation of reagents and controls.
Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs (standard operating procedures) and any other applicable documentation.
Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (On the job training will be provided)
Perform all tasks related to clinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samples.
Organize stock and maintain inventory; order stock as needed.
Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible.
Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary
Qualifications:
Associate Degree- with 3 years’ experience.
4-year bachelor’s degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 0-2 years’ experience.
Experience with urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation preferred.
