Job Description Grace Life Church (Columbia, MD) - College/Children's Pastor The Big Picture Grace Life Church (gracelifechurch.com) is seeking a full-time College/Children's Pastor. The Church We are a church with about 45 adults in our directory with 13 kids ranging from 1-8 years old and 3 more babies coming this summer. We also have a collegiate ministry at Johns Hopkins with about 30 students. Prior to covid, the collegiate ministry had about 60-80 students. We are looking for someone that has a passion for the youth and next generation (kids and college) along with a desire to teach regularly. Our church has contributed to planting 2 churches in Baltimore and 1 in Lima, Peru in the past 15 years through our founding Pastor. We have a heart for missions globally and locally. Cast the vision for a vibrant Children's Ministry that will allow kids to experience God in a relevant and relational way. Help us make the Gospel not only heard, but seen and felt.
Join in serving our Collegiate Ministry at Johns Hopkins University. Joint leadership with another pastor overseeing about 30-40 students.
Develop a dynamic leadership team of volunteers by providing resources and training, and by implementing appreciation strategies.
Oversee weekly programs and environments for GLC Kids that are age aware, mission minded, and engaging.
Implement and evaluate strategies to ensure children are known, loved well, and safe. This includes check-in tools and procedures, attendance tracking, first time guest follow up, and safety policies for leaders and GLC Kids spaces.
Potentially joining the preaching rotation on Sunday.

Be a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, continually learning and growing

Demonstrate flexibility; be a grace-filled problem solver
Continue to study and grow in knowledge and practical ministry strategies current with culture, trends, and societal changes
College degree or experience in related fields preferred
Seminary training near completion or have sufficient ministry experiences.
Be relational and intentional with kids, leaders, parents, and staff
