- Prefer graduate degree from theological seminary
- Would consider a candidate with bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience
- Prefer experience as a senior or associate/assistant pastor
- Solution oriented
- Visionary with enthusiasm for church revitalization and the commitment to implement necessary change
- Able to minister to all ages
- Able to equip leaders of ministry teams and their members to fulfill responsibilities with accountability
- Relational
- Affirmational
- Expository preaching and teaching
- Regular and open communication with church staff and Elders
- Effective and productive interaction with ministry teams
- Periodic contact with individual church members as necessary
- As outlined in the First Baptist Church Constitution and By-laws (Bylaw 3
- 402)
- Adherence to and agreement with Statement of Faith (Article II)
