JOB SUMMARY

The Administrative Coordinator will be responsble for coordinating paperwork between law enforcement agencies for fugitives on Governor's warrants, Interstate Agreement on Detainers and scheduling hearings on the same; processing Summary Appeals and coordination of scheduling of same, and manage, track and process administrative supboena requests for the Special Victims Unit.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for preparation of orders for Arraignment of Governor's Warrants requested by other States and scheduling of hearing on same;
  • Processing and handling of warrants pursuant to Interstate Agreement on Detainers and scheduling hearings and preparing orders for same. This process requires coordination between law enforcement agencies, out of state prisons and the Sheriff's Office.
  • Responsible for filing detainers in other States when notified of an arrest;
  • Responsible for processing, scheduling and notices for all Summary Appeals including creating files, entry into PMS, generating hearing notices and subpoenas, court lists and rescheduling;
  • This position will be responsible for discovery redaction through Adobe Pro of general trial cases. This includes redaction of personal and sensitive information of victim/witnesses in police reports prior to be distributed through the discovery process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED; relevant post high school education and training is desirable
  • Minimum of two (2) years clerical experience in an office setting
  • Ability to use and create documents using Word Perfect 12, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Any equivalent training, knowledge, and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to learn about the criminal justice system

Knowledge of office procedures equipment, practice and conduct

Ability to plan, document and execute all responsibilities

Ability to learn, possess and apply basic knowledge of operating a person computer

Ability to deal with conflicting and demanding priorities, to multi-task and to organize work

Ability to communicate, problem-solve, work independently and follow directions

Ability to interact with people of varying socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds

Professionally interact and communicate with clients and co-workers by telephone, written communication or in person

Ability to perform work under the normal working conditions for the job.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/CLEARANCES

Will be subjected to security and background checks.
