General Overview of the Company/Position:

The Lancaster Country club is a private club on over 400 acres in South Central Pennsylvanian. Established in 1900, Lancaster Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in Pennsylvania and has continued its rich history and tradition for over 100 years. The club is member-owned, governed by an elected Board of Governors and is managed by a professional staff.

Job Summary

As a Banquet Server, you will provide exceptional LCC services to our members and guests through event setup, food presentation and table service duties, prep-work and closing tasks, and other duties as assigned to help facilitate a smooth and efficient event service. You will assist on club and private events ranging from 4-250 people in our main event spaces.

We see a wide variety of events so being flexible and willing to retain as much knowledge as possible is key within this position. Here at LCC, we host business meetings, seminars, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, fundraisers, galas, birthday parties, etc. Our main focus within 2024 is hosting the U.S. Women's Open.

We are looking hiring banquet servers who are available to work day-time shifts throughout the week and are available to start as soon as possible. Must be willing and available to work holidays and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Serves all plated meals according to place card indications.
• Keeps non-alcoholic beverage and dessert stations stocked and clean.
• Keeps buffet full and clean at all times.
• Clears all dirty dishes and glassware from tables.
• Keep assigned work area clean throughout shift.
• Assists guests with any questions or needs.
• Assists in setting up and tearing down the function according to the BEO (Banquet Event Order) or function sheet.

Position Qualifications

• Catering/event experience is beneficial but not required.
• Adequate food and beverage knowledge.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with members and guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and well-organized environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Work well with others and within a team.
• Must have the ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be dependable, punctual and able to adhere to the designated work schedule.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift moderate weights and perform tasks that may require bending, kneeling, reaching, etc.
• Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as required, to meet the operational needs of the Club.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
