• Use of a computer for starting and stopping programs that need to be cut on the machine.
• Understand how to use Lantek WOS screen
• May have to retrieves appropriate material in accordance with nest specifications when a Material Puller is not available.
• Uses tape measure to assure all dimensions of cut rings/gaskets are in accordance with work order specifications.
• Places rings/gaskets in holding area to await transport to the Inspection Department.
• Confirm gaskets are cleaned properly before shipping them. (i.e. no labels, dirt, etc)
• Tag gaskets properly when completed.
• Wrap and/or package gaskets to be shipped out according to outlines procedures.
• Assures aisle ways/production areas are cleared of debris daily.
• May have to empty trash and scrap material barrels into outside dumpster when area is overwhelmed.
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
• Must have clear understanding and practice all safety rules and regulations.
• Must have clear understanding of Quality Policy and Quality System Programs

Skills

• Ability to understand written/verbal instructions
• Basic understanding on how to operate a computer
• Able to use/read a tape measure accurately

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience

• 0 – 2 years’ experience in an operator position within a manufacturing company

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push and pull.
• Prolonged periods of walking/standing
• Works frequently with average weights of ten (10) to fifty (50) pounds or continuously with lighter weights.
• Good eye/hand/foot coordination.
• Ability to work in cold, hot and/or dusty environment, with noisy conditions.
• Prolonged periods in high heat/humidity settings.
• Ability to operate machine tools where time exceeds the handling time.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds independently.
