Lead Mental Health Crisis Specialist (Local Law Enforcement)
Job Summary
The Mental Health Crisis Specialist provides emergency behavioral health related crisis service response working toward de-escalating crisis situations in partnership with local law enforcement. This is in a field work setting based at the local police station and including in private homes, public property and other areas as served by local law enforcement. Setting may include conditions of inclement weather, or in rural or urban areas, and will require travel accompanying local law enforcement personnel for on-site collaboration.

Education/Experience
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field; 5-7 years of applicable experience
Preferred: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field and 3-5 years of related experience
Persons with life experience in recovery or psychiatric challenges and/or law enforcement are encouraged to apply.
License/Certifications
Required: Must be able and willing to obtain designation as a Qualified Mental Health Professional by the State of Vermont. Must hold a valid drivers' license, current automobile insurance and registration; also required to have reliable vehicle for use at work.
Preferred: Licensed or rostered as LICSW, LCMHC, LADC or other health care license
