Parts Department Assistant

Lamers Bus Lines is now hiring a full-time Parts Department Assistant in Green Bay. This person will be responsible for receiving, filling, and shipping parts orders to our service facilities located through the state and is a physical, hands-on job.
In addition, this position is responsible for obtaining product information and price quotes from vendors, maintaining balanced inventory and handling warranty issues.
Primary Duties
- Filling orders for other terminals.
- Taking orders from terminals.
- Researching parts to fill orders.
Assist with loading truck for terminal distribution.
Shipping and receiving
- Checking in every part that arrives for order completion.
- Putting parts away (where they belong and giving a computer location)
Shipping material cleanup (break down cardboard).
Organizing all parts locations (cleaning and organization)
- Parts room
- Big shed
- Back shed
Tire stall
In addition, drivers can have no restrictions on the C.D.L. license for intra-state only or non-air brake vehicles. The school bus (C.
D.L.) endorsement is necessary as part of the process to completing the orientation period. Must meet and maintain all D.
O.T. qualifications which includes, but not limited to negative drug test and D.O.T. physicals.
- Miscellaneous
- Parts running when current parts runner is not available.
- Scrap metal.
Must physically be able to push, pull or lift an object / part weighing a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Our fifty (50) pounds per object is an occurrence a minimum of 10% of your lifting time.
Pieces can range in the 75-to-100-pound weight) Types of objects handled are : tires, alternators, starters, brake drums, transmissions, engine parts, bulk grease, bulk oil, drums, repairing seats, etc.
