LamdaGen Corporation is seeking an Associate Scientist with hands-on bench experience preparing and running immunoassays. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, optimizing and validating immunoassays. The candidate will participate in ongoing assay development projects on our LAuRA technology platform. The candidate must be able to efficiently perform reagent and sample preparation, run comparative ELISA and lateral flow tests, follow protocols, and record detailed lab reports. Experience working in a Bio-Safety Level 2 lab is a plus.

This is a temporary position with potential to evolve into full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Organize and perform reagent and sample preparation for immunoassays, including surface chemistry preparations, antibody conjugations and protein handling
• Work with senior scientists on experimental design; perform experiments, analyze data, and compose detailed laboratory reports
• Assist with statistical data analyses and prepare documents including data summaries, reports and protocols
• Perform relevant literature searches and recommend innovative approaches to current assays
• Execute assay validation and verification procedures and QC protocols
• Work closely with the assay development team as part of the product development process

Qualifications

• MSc/BSc with 3 years of experience in microbiology, immunology, virology, biotechnology, biochemistry or related field
• Knowledgeable and experienced in immunoassay development, e.g., ELISA, lateral flow testing
• Comply with all training and safety protocols required for Bio-Safety Level 2 laboratory operation
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving in assay performance and/or biochemical detection experiments
• Ability to adapt to new instrumentation and contribute to development of innovative detection systems
• Excellence in data management and lab organization, including report writing
• Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
