Summary:

The Automotive Financial Services Consultant is responsible for producing additional revenue for the dealership by selling finance, lease, insurance, and warranty programs as well as vehicle accessories to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate additional dealership revenue by providing customers with a thorough explanation of financing and protection products.
• Always maintain 100% digital menu utilization.
• Understand, stay aware of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new-used vehicle and finance departments. Adhere to all Safeguarding, Red Flag, and 8300 procedures and policies.
• Submit paperwork to and obtain approval from finance sources on all finance deals.
• Submit all e-completed paperwork, including contracts, to lending institution in a timely manner in order that the dealership is promptly funded.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with several finance sources, factory and otherwise.
• Maintain a working knowledge of current finance and lease rates and special related programs of all finance sources sharing information with sales managers and sales force.
• Maintain a readily accessible folder of finance and lease rates and special factory programs.
• Handle all rate quotations.
• Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction. Maintain a minimum customer satisfaction standard equal to or above the manufacturer expected average.

Desired Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of automotive dealership Financial Services Consultant experience.
• High integrity and ethics
• Professional with great sales and customer service skills, innate ability to build rapport with customers.
• The drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Physical Requirements: Regularly required to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, use hands to operate a keyboard and telephone, ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 30 lbs. when needed.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
