Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary resource for insurance inquires
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients
• Obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
• Review and process insurance claims
• Maintain patient records and update insurance information as needed
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
• Provide support to patients regarding insurance questions and concerns
• Collaborate with office staff to ensure proper billing practices
• Prior billing experience preferred but not required

Position Requirements

• Knowledge of insurance verification processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing practices
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Education and Experience

• Ability to work independently with only general oversight.
• 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting (orthopedics preferred but not required)
