Mission for Position

Administers comprehensive nursing care within an inpatient, multi-disciplinary team, offering basic medical attention and evaluating the well-being of patients. Conducts thorough assessments of patient needs, formulates and executes personalized care plans, and assesses patient responses to treatment.

Position Summary

• Assist with ambulation and lifting for patients.
• Address personal needs, including oral hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing, and ambulating, following physician orders.
• Maintain continuity among nursing teams through thorough documentation and communication.
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and external health agencies.
• Foster a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Plan, implement, and coordinate nursing care activities and personalized treatment plans.
• Administer treatment interventions, therapies, and medications per diagnosis and physician orders.
• Translate patient needs for nonclinical staff assigned to their care.
• Monitor and document patient symptoms or changes accurately and promptly.
• Complete required patient documentation promptly and efficiently.
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and regulatory guidelines.

We seek dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for full-time and part-time positions during overnight hours. The shifts available are either 8 or 12 hours, with options from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Weekend rotation can be chosen from a weekend warrior position with increased benefits or up to every fourth weekend. Our Reflections Geriatric Mental Health Inpatient Unit boasts a dynamic team supporting your short and long-term career aspirations. • Be an accredited nursing school graduate with a current Minnesota LPN license
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Maintain CPR Certification on a bi-annual basis

Physical Demands

All team members at the Geriatric Mental Health Inpatient Unit are required to actively participate in a range of physical tasks, encompassing sitting, standing, walking, aiding in ambulation, managing challenging behaviors, and assisting with patient lifting.

The role within this healthcare facility demands a commitment to an around-the-clock schedule, operating continuously throughout all 365 days of the year. Prospective candidates should anticipate the necessity of working during holidays and be prepared to fulfill responsibilities even in inclement weather conditions. The position requires flexibility and a dedicated approach to consistently providing essential healthcare services, regardless of the time of day or prevailing weather challenges.
