Lakewood Family Dental is a fast growing, privately owned dental office located in Kokomo, IN, seeking a talented and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our team! We are looking for (2) Traveling Dental Assistants 1 for oral surgery and 1 for Perio.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene techniques
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with scheduling and managing patient appointments
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant work experience
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and ability to take accurate dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Current CPR certification is preferred but not required

Radiology certification is required

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
