Member Dining Server:

Servers must be comfortable speaking with our members and guests in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Servers must be able to communicate effectively with members, guests, and co-workers; including other servers, chefs, and management.

Servers are responsible for correctly taking all orders, correctly placing all orders in the Point of Sale System, and ensuring throughout their shift that all members and guests are satisfied. We require someone who has a high level of organization, who can quickly respond to changing situations, and who can politely and professionally handle member or guest complaints.

It is preferred that applying servers have a fairly extensive knowledge of fine dining cuisine and can therefore correctly explain to members different attributes of the menu and dishes. We require that staff members be able to consistently maintain the highest level of safety and cleanliness. Servers are required to work at peak times; this includes nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Specific Duties

• Sets up side stations and performs assigned side work.
• Provides immediate attention to guests upon seating by approaching/greeting.
• Distributes menus (if not already done).
• Obtains member number and name.
• Takes beverage order.
• Answers questions and suggests menu items.
• Takes food orders.
• Convey orders to kitchen and provides any special cooking instructions.
• Uses a tray to serve all items.
• Serves meal from left side of guest.
• Checks back with guest to ensure satisfaction.
• Removes soiled dishes.
• Suggests and serves desserts, beverages, etc.
• Composes check, presents to member, obtains signature.
• Provides room set-up, break-down, linen service assistance.
• Keeps tables, dining room and bus station clean and tidy.
• Advises supervisor of any complaints as they occur.
• Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
• Attends pre-meal meetings as required.
• Wears required uniform, is punctual, and is reliable.
• Is able to work independently.
• Uses good judgement.
• Maintains professional posture during duty.
• Is always attentive to members’ needs.
• Adheres to service basics as outlined in Service Manual.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
