OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Release Manager manages software development releases, from requirements gathering through release. This position is responsible for adherence to standards of testing and documentation while advancing development changes through the entire SDLC process.
The role can take advantage of Lakeview’s offices in Horsham, PA hybrid or fully-remote anywhere in the United States. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 with annual bonus; however, Lakeview considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, location and key skills.
ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate with development and quality assurance teams for resource allocation and scheduling application releases.
  • Responsible for adherence to standards of testing and documentation while advancing development changes through the SDLC process.
  • Partner with business units to deliver new software application functionality while protecting the integrity of existing services through acquired business process knowledge and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT teams and the Company’s various business units.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Analyze business applications and performs data mapping based on client need.
  • Act as subject matter expert and liaison with the business units for process and requirements gathering.
  • Manage production releases by scheduling required resources from all necessary IT departments, creation of timelines, scheduling business testers, and creation of release notes.
  • Verify SDLC/release guidelines are adhered to and provide approval in the migration of releases through development/test/UAT environments.
  • Conduct customer requirements meetings.
  • Develop business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, and use cases.
  • Define, gather, and perform data mapping based on customer requirements.
  • Schedule release dates through coordination of business needs, development, and QA resource allocation, and potential conflicts with other scheduled releases.
  • Review QA test cases and creation of UAT test cases.
  • Serve as escalation point for application support production issues.
  • Provide additional training guidelines or technology solutions to reduce chronic application support reported issues.
QualificationsSKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
  • Individual must have demonstrated ability to be self-sufficient in the management of software development releases from requirements gathering through release management
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic to advanced SQL and Oracle queries/scripting
  • Experience as a business analyst
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical
  • Solid presentation skills - must be able to present to senior management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to successfully multi-task and adjust to changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of origination/servicing Processes
  • Knowledge of MS Office including Visio is required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, SQL Microsoft Studio, SharePoint, Power BI, and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of Continuous Process Improvement
  • The individual must have a solid understanding of the day-to-day execution of business tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and analyzes business needs in order to create business requirements and assist in technical documentation
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS or higher or equivalent experience
