Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our team in providing engaging and enriching activities for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and creating meaningful experiences.

Duties:

- Plan, organize, and oversee a variety of recreational activities for residents
- Coordinate events such as parties, outings, and educational programs
- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Maintain activity calendars and ensure events are well-publicized
- Assess residents' needs and preferences to tailor activities accordingly
- Manage budgets and resources for activities department

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in event planning or a related field
- Knowledge of aging issues counseling and senior care services
- Familiarity with nursing homes, assisted living, memory care, or caregiving environments
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules effectively
- Background in social work or related field is a plus
- Understanding of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and their impact on seniors

Must have certification
