Summary
The Production Worker carries out various tasks in the production department. Depending on the specific area the employee could be responsible for preparing the raw products for production, packing product on the assembly line or cleaning and sanitizing production machinery and equipment.

The packer is responsible for packing on shipping boxes, the finished product and prepare the pallet to be moved for shipping.

The Production Packer is responsible for packing into case configurations directly off the line or in an assembly area at a set fill rate. This role will keep accurate counts of sleeve and case quantities while packing

Duties and Responsibilities

· Supply the line with the correctly packing items for the running product.

· Assembling the boxes and labeling, proper use of the correct boxes and labels.

· Loads the product jar in the box, assurance the date, and the lot are correct.

· Assort the product according to the internal packing specification.

· Close the boxes or wrapping according to the packaging type.

· Follow GMP’s procedure.

· Follow GMP’s procedure.

· Maintaining a clean work area

· • Following all applicable safety policies and procedures

· • Following all GMP’s and General Food Safety Requirements

· • Following all food Defense Procedures

· • Checking case configurations

· • Posting visual standards and maintaining visual standards

· • Participate in process improvement activities

· • Participate in team forums, huddles and escalation sessions

· • Following other duties as required

· Maintaining a clean work area

· • Following all applicable safety policies and procedures

· • Following all GMP’s and General Food Safety Requirements

· • Following all food Defense Procedures

· • Checking case configurations

· • Posting visual standards and maintaining visual standards

· • Participate in process improvement activities

· • Participate in team forums, huddles and escalation sessions

· • Following other duties as required

· Perform all responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, Personal Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Notify Supervisor of any problems with equipment.

· Must be able to follow written procedures.

· Keep Supervisor informed of any unsanitary practices that may be occurring in the plant.

· Performs repetitive tasks and follow instructions.

· Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.

· Understand and maintain high standards of tidiness and organization in line with good 5S (Sort, t in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practice

· Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures

· Follow all Food Safety/Quality Policies established at the facility.

Qualifications

· Some manufacturing experience preferred with food manufacturing desirable

· Strong work ethic and organizational skills

· Able to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment

· Able to work on feet for extended periods of time

· Reliable mode of transportation

· Reading and writing communication.

· Basic math knowledge.

· Take necessary measures when there is deviation from policies and standards.

· • Participate and recommend solutions to common quality & food safety issues.

· • Take action to continuously improve his/her process targets.

· • Adhere/ follow the food safety programs in the department including GMPs

· Proficient reading, writing and verbal communication skills

· Bilingual in English/Spanish is desirable.
