We are currently seeking a dynamic Behavioral Health Associate (BHA)-PRN to provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing, clinical, and the BHA Supervisor. This position would be responsible for patient observation and communication of patients’ issues. The BHA provides for the personal care and comfort of patients while also providing a clean, safe environment and maintaining equipment and supplies.

The Difference Maker hired for this position must have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent education
• At least one year experience in customer service
• Proven ability to build rapport and relationships, while setting boundaries
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• A valid driver’s license with insurability standards

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Providing general patient care, optimizing patient safety and reducing medical errors
• Continuously observing patient behavior, mental status, and activities
• Identifying patient behaviors that require intervention
• Setting limits for patients and using de-escalation techniques
• One-on-one observation of high-risk patients
• Setting and enforcing appropriate boundaries with patients
• Treating patients and families with respect, and providing emotional support
• Transportation, while following Lakeview driving requirements
• Escorting patients to activities and scheduled tests
• Participating in the intake admission process
• Maintaining a good working relationship with team members and other departments
