LAKESIDE MEDICAL ORG, A MEDICAL GROUP, INC. is Hiring a Systems Engineer Near Northridge, CA

We are looking for experienced Systems Engineers to join our team. 

Under general direction, as a top level contributor, independently designs client server architecture to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services, Operating Systems as applies to Regal LAN and Data Center infrastructure. Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for server and storage capacity planning and performance tuning. Provides 3rd or 4th level support for client OS and server NOS. Evaluates tests and makes recommendations on new/upgrades to hardware, OS and applications and their impact on existing system configurations. Independently researches and resolves moderately to highly complex technical problems. Documents standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting processes. May act as project manager on one or more projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following :

  1. The Systems Engineer candidate plays a lead role in the Windows/Intel Systems Service Delivery Organization.
  2. Provides specialized enterprise level project based support and management for the Windows and Intel environments.
  3. Designs and implements Client and Server architecture to include hardware platforms, client applications, server services, Operating Systems, storage networks.
  4. Analyzes current enterprise and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning and design issues.
  5. Provides 3rd level support for client and server design, storage planning and operating systems.
  6. This is a key position which requires the skills of an architect, project manager, and systems administrator as well as the patience and tact of a good customer service representative.
  7. This position requires extensive collaboration with teammates, other Business units, IT management.
  8. Must have good communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
  9. All other duties as directed by management.
  1. Design, develop, and articulate solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure engineered solutions are aligned to company standards
  3. Work closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work
  4. Create project status reports and accurately track/manage project issues and risks
  5. Maintain regular communication with management to update them on project status and critical fault resolution progress
  6. Provide System Architecture strategy and roadmaps for Client/Server Implementations of various Microsoft, Citrix, and VMware based solutions
  7. Strong Storage background to include custom configuration of EMC CX-3, EMC CX-4, iScsi Networks, Dell Blade servers.
  8. Design, develop, administer Dell Powervault Storage MD1200, MD3200 SAS Storage Systems
  9. Design and maintain System Security
  10. Develop and implement business solutions using PowerShell, VBScripts, and GPO’s.
  11. Independently researches and resolves highly complex server or storage technical problems
  12. Enforce Windows Server administration standards, policies and guidelines and develop and implement them as the needs are identified and prioritized
  13. Troubleshoot Window servers issues and escalate as required
  14. Maintain continuously updated documentation of key applications in order to facilitate the support and improvement of the platform
  15. Broad understanding of all major Windows Infrastructure components; Windows Server 2008,2012,2016 Microsoft Exchange 2010,2013,2016.

Education/Experience

  1. Detailed knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory
  2. Detailed knowledge on Microsoft SQL 2008 R2,2012,2014,2016
  3. Detailed knowledge in Windows Client and Server Architecture
  4. Windows 7, Windows 10
  5. 5 years systems administration and troubleshooting experience
  6. 2 years Windows architecture experience in a multi-site company
  7. 2 years project management experience
  8. Strong documentation skills including experience writing proposals and statements of work
  9. Excellent verbal and presentation skills
  10. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  11. BA or BS degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
  12. Microsoft Certifications a plus (MCSE, MCTS, MCITP,MCSA,MCP)

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $115,000 and $120,000[year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, licensure, skills, and experience.

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
