The Opportunity: The Irrigation Technician is responsible for installing, turning on, turning off and servicing irrigation systems and low voltage lighting on residential and commercial properties. The Irrigation Technician will report directly to the Service Manager.

Your Day to Day:

  • Promote and foster an overall positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Responsible for start-ups, servicing, winterizing, and programming of client’s irrigation systems.
  • Run the irrigation system as needed and troubleshoot localized system problems.
  • Perform diagnostics and suggest system improvements, as necessary.
  • Understand and promote all company services with a focus on upselling.
  • Participate in training and daily operations committing to ongoing coaching and on the job training.

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills) – Must Haves:

  • Education and/or experience in landscape irrigation and/or landscape lighting; combination also acceptable; minimum two years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of landscape irrigation and/or landscape lighting; minimum two years.
  • Valid Driver’s License, in good standing, and clean driving record.
  • Availability to work full time (40-50 hours per week).
  • Be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle up to 70 MPH 
  • Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate effectively; required
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.

It’d Be Nice If You Have:

  • Valid Chauffeur License, in good standing, and clean driving record.
  • Valid State of Michigan Department of Transportations (DOT Card).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
