Job Description

Qualified candidate must be able to show responsibility, customer service and leadership skills while

maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the club.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

1.Cleaning – including mopping, sweeping, waxing, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, wiping and disinfecting all surfaces, picking up

debris, organizing equipment, sanitizing restrooms and showers, maintaining landscaping and appearance of parking lot and refilling

supplies and amenities, completing all daily, weekly or monthly tasks assigned to you.

2. Laundry – wash towels, sheets, linens and toys paying particular attention to stains. Load and unload towels and other laundry items

from machines. Stack and re-stock towels and other laundry items. Follow safety regulations for handling towels and other laundry

items. Fold towels and other laundry items. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.

3. Locker rooms – wipe off counters, mirrors and sinks. Spot clean glass in locker rooms, pick up towels and debris. Turn off vanity lights and

close locker doors. Re-fill amenities when needed. Check steam room, sauna, and whirlpool area for towels. Clean shower drains. Wipe down shower stalls and benches. Vacuum floors. Turn in all lost and found articles.

4.Safety – maintain full knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure that they are followed for all incidents, accidents and emergency situations.

5. Maintaining a high level of energy, enthusiasm and customer service to all staff, members and guests. Provide support and assistance to any are of the center whenever necessary.

Communication Skills

1.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, staff and members.

2.Ability to communicate sensitive information to management, staff and members

3.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written and oral form.

3.Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and have the physical skills to perform CPR.

4. Occasionally required to push or pull an towel cart weighing up to 100lbs.

5. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

6. Specific hearing requirements include ability to hear the human voice over the telephone and from at least 8 feet way.

7.There is exposure to heat, cold, irritant chemicals, operating machinery and noise.

8. Ability to do strenuous manual labor for long periods of time.

9.The employee is frequently required to climb a ladder, and perform other job duties described herein.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of his job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. There is exposure to wet and humid conditions, heat, outside weather conditions, irritant chemicals, operating machinery, risk of electrical shock and noise. There is occasional exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic materials; and vibration. When using or working on certain equipment, or performing certain tasks dust masks and/or respirators are available to assist breathing

Qualifications


1. High School Diploma or GED

2. 2 years of past experience in cleaning buildings

3. Must possess a valid state driver’s or state ID, proof of citizenship

4. CPR certification – can be completed within the first 30 days of employment
