Position Title and Summary
A Laborer is responsible for ensuring that the site is maintained, clean, and in good order.

Reports To

Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities
  • Help the leadership team with a variety of tasks that support the efficient functioning of the operation
  • Keep work area and all surrounding areas clean
  • Report all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to supervisor
  • May be responsible to attend to the outside perimeter of the facility, performing various clean up tasks
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings
  • Wear required personal protective equipment at all times
  • May perform janitorial duties, as requested
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications / Knowledge / Critical Skills
  • High school diploma preferred
Physical Demands / Environmental Factors
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
  • Requires working in dusty and noisy indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; more than 50 pounds requires asking for a “team lift”
  • Requires working in a physical environment that will expose employee to extreme weather conditions
  • Requires working for long periods of time while standing; may also frequently bend, squat or go up and down stairs or walk along platforms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Will work around heavy equipment that may move in and out of the area; must have awareness of the surrounding heavy industrial environment
