Lakeshore Management, Inc. is Hiring an Asset Manager II Near Skokie, IL

SCOPE:

The Asset Manager will be an integral leader on the asset management team at a privately held real estate investment firm. The role is responsible for managing a large portfolio of assets, optimizing value, and streamlining operational aspects of the business. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years’ proven experience in residential real estate, be individually proficient, and able to lead others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy and Implementation.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to maximize property performance.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure stakeholders are aligned and goals are met.
  • Financial Review.
    • Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to thoroughly understand asset performance, trends, opportunities, etc.
    • Provide analytical support and rationale for a variety of business decisions.
    • Assist with annual budgeting, semi-annual reforecasting.
  • Acquisitions.
    • Manage financial models used to underwrite new potential deals.
    • Oversee due diligence process once under contract to assess investment viability.
    • Ensure business plans are underwritten realistically and executed post-closing.
  • Development.
    • Manage the strategic direction on multiple development and expansion opportunities.
    • Coordinate efforts of development teams, engineers, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
    • Monitor and track progress from concept to entitlement to construction.
  • Market Research.
    • Oversee comprehensive analysis of market trends, rent comps, alternative housing, etc. to drive revenue strategies.
  • Personnel.
    • Oversee analyst(s).
  • Ad Hoc.
    • Other projects and assignments as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or similar field.
  • 8-10 years of experience, majority in real estate and/or Asset Management.
  • Highly proficient at achieving results and independently assessing opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others, meet deadlines, synthesize takeaways.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Yardi or institutional software experience a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

COMPENSATION:
$110,000. - $130,000./Yr (Based on experience)
