- Communicate and motivate around daily and long-term quality/productivity metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Take initiative to seek daily schedules, determine requirements and set up as needed.
- Assign appropriate staffing levels to each work area to meet production need, plan change overs to minimize down/lost time and adjust to schedule changes with minimal disruption.
- Monitor OSHA and DEQ compliance requirements, and administer solutions for on-going compliance and/or deficiencies.
- Monitor daily production/shipments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Assist with plant and warehouse logistics and product flows.
- Act as a champion of quality by assisting the Management Team with Quality Initiatives and Lean/5S Training at the work centers.
- Assist with all Operational Corrective Actions
- Works to ensure cross-training to better prepare for managing efficient production through absences (bench planning)
- Makes training and development a priority, and teaches/mentors effectively.
- Educate and supervise employees around safety.
- Maintain constructive, professional relationships.
- Provide coaching through a balance of constructive feedback and positive recognition to effectively manage employee performance.
- Perform other job functions as assigned.
- Experience with Plex ERP system a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Three or more years of manufacturing supervisory experience, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of paint application process.
- Experience with IATF and ISO processes.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times.
