Job Overview:
Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility is seeking a skilled and positive RN to lead our exceptional weekend healthcare team of "Lifeguards" Friday through Sunday. As the Weekend Supervsior, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care and services. This is a vital role that requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and our team of healthcare professionals. The position is full-time (32-40 hours/week required) but the schedule is very flexible as long as at least 8.5 hours/day are worked in-house on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. In addition, the position is on-call, with pay from Friday evening to Monday morning and qualifies for overtime.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee resident care and assist with complex medical questions or issues, providing direct care as needed
- Supervise and manage the nursing staff, including assigning duties, managing the nursing schedule, monitoring performance, providing education and other administrative duties on the weekends
- Collaborate with physicians, care plan team and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement resident care plans
- Reports to the Director of Nursing
Requirements:
- Valid nursing license (RN) in Missouri
- Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a nursing leadership role
- Strong clinical skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and make critical decisions
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
