Lake St Cafe is Hiring a Barista Near Addison, IL

This position requires open availability and every weekend.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and crafting delicious coffee beverages. If you have a passion for coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have excellent customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer orders accurately
- Assist customers in selecting the right coffee or tea based on their preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
- Follow food safety guidelines for proper handling and storage of food items
- Prepare and serve food items such as pastries and sandwiches
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly
- Upsell additional products or menu items to increase sales

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso equipment is a plus
- Strong math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
