Job description: Assistant Principal JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Assistant Principal shall possess a valid license which entitles employment in the assigned area. duties and responsibilities: The Assistant Principal will: 1. Assist the building principal in the overall administration of the building. 2. Be responsible to the principal for the administration of instructional and behavioral services, such as MTSS, Project-based Learning, and the 8-Step Process. 3. Assist in the observation and preparation of teacher evaluations as delegated by the principal. 4.. Assume responsibility for the bus or transportation program as delegated by the principal. 5. Assume responsibility for scheduling and supervision of school activities. 6. Delegate duties to other staff members and see that they are properly executed. 7. Assume the role of principal in the absence of the building principal. 8. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Principal or his designee. THE EMPLOYEE SHALL REMAIN FREE OF ANY ALCOHOL OR NONPRESCRIBED CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE ABUSE IN THE WORKPLACE OR IN HIS/HER DUTIES THROUGHOUT HIS/HER EMPLOYMENT IN THE CORPORATION. Terms of employment: Twelve Months. Salary to be determined by the Board of School Trustees as per contract and shall be effective August 1 of each calendar year. Evaluation: Performance on job requirements will be evaluated annually be the Middle School Principal in accordance with Board Policy.
