Lake Region Middle School seeks an organized, flexible, energetic teacher able to work well in a fast-paced collegial environment.In addition to Maine certifications (512-Health/Physical Education), the ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and experience with:•MLR standards for implementation in curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices•Proficiency-based education systems•Backwards planning curriculum design•Effective classroom management strategies, including establishing routines and procedures at the start of the school year•Implementing interventions, modifications, and accommodations, and utilizing the RTI process•Developing and supporting student agency, voice, and choice•Integrating technology tools to enhance learning, assessment and communication•Effective communication strategies for discussing students’ progress and interpreting the school curriculum and expectations with student homes
