Branch Teller/Customer Service Job Grade II Reports to Branch Manager

Job Summary To process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with bank procedure, record all transactions accurately and balance each day’s operation. To follow established procedures for opening new accounts. Identify and respond appropriately to clues from customers for financial needs.Essential Functions:

  • Handle large quantity of cash with reasonable speed and accuracy
  • Focus on details and picks up on mistakes
  • Make responsible decisions in accordance with laws, regulations, & policies
  • Take responsibility for customer problems, analyzes the situation, and ensures a timely resolution and a satisfied customer
  • Communicate effectively through making eye contact, listening, identifying and responding
  • Orders customer checks
  • Re-orders debit cards and pin #’s assisting customers with problems
  • Keep lobby area neat, stocked with brochures, deposit slips and withdrawal tickets
  • Answers phones, assisting customers, taking messages etc.
  • Open all types of accounts Checking, Money Market, Savings, Certificate of

Deposit.

  • Take wire transfer information
  • Refer customer for any additional service we offer

Qualifications:

  • High school education
  • Typing and computer skills required
  • Likes customer interaction & likes to engage people
  • Teller and Customer Service experience
  • Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills
  • Achieves success personally & professionally
  • Naturally display confidence, enthusiasm, and trustworthiness
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Learns quickly in variety of training environments and applies that knowledge in the working environment
  • Possesses a basic computer proficiency

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
