Job Summary:
Matches Tavern at Lake of Isles is seeking a skilled and guest-oriented Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by preparing and serving beverages in a timely and efficient manner. Your role will also involve engaging with customers, taking orders, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to customer preferences and established recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and cleaning glasses, utensils, and bar equipment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments, providing change, and managing tabs
- Adhere to all food safety and beverage handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Monitor customer behavior and alcohol consumption to prevent over-intoxication or any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service
- Stay updated on current beverage trends, new products, and promotions
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling
- Experience in the food industry or previous bartending experience preferred
- Familiarity with brewing techniques, cocktail recipes, and mixology is a plus
- Ability to handle high-volume situations while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Proficient in basic math calculations for accurate order taking and cash handling
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and payment transactions
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices for proper handling of beverages
