Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is Hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist, PRN Near MOORESVILLE, NC

Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in the field of Respiratory Care from an accredited college or universityrequired
  • Must hold Registry Credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as well as hold a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from the state of North Carolina.
  • The following certifications are alsorequired: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
  • One to two years of hospital experiencepreferred
