Requirements:

• Associates or better in Medical Technology or related field required.
• C-ASCP Med Lab Scientist (MLS) preferred.

About the Job:

• Directs and is responsible for all work performed in a designated section of the laboratory. 
• Is responsible for seeing that the designated area operates within the stated standards as set by regulatory agencies such as TJC and CLIA.
• Maintains records and statistical data according to regulatory requirements.
• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all types of blood and body fluid specimens.
• Resolves problems and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical values.
• Follows laboratory and hospital policies and procedures and instructs new employees.
• Works and assists as needed in other laboratory areas as required to maintain appropriate patient care.
