Lake Nona Animal Clinic is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Orlando, FL

Veterinary Receptionist / CSR

Lake Nona Animal Clinic is looking for full-time receptionists!

We are looking for someone with previous experience since our receptionists are very knowledgeable and our patients, clients, and the rest of the team heavily rely on that. They have the capability and responsibility to answer as many questions as possible rather than constantly transferring calls to the busy techs and doctors. Knowledge about vaccines and their protocols, common medications and their side effects, procedures, treatments, common diseases, and such is required.

We are very busy for all positions. Receptionists should expect to have things/tasks to do all day long and stay here until about 6:30 pm or so even though we close at 6:00 pm on weekdays.

We are a paperless clinic using EzyVet as our EMR/PMS.

Tasks and responsibilities include:
-Handling all incoming phone calls.
-Scheduling appointments appropriately by doctor and type.
-Looking into medical records and paying attention to detail to update reminders and give out correct information.
-Calling owners to check on them and their pets.
-Confirming scheduled appointments and going over any specific instructions given the appointment type.
-Handling all incoming text messages, e-mails, and faxes.
-Greeting clients immediately as they walk in to the clinic and helping them out.
-Discussing procedure and medication recommendations, the reason why, the price, and their value.

Requirements:
-High School Diploma
-Great communication skills. Great spelling and grammar skills.
-Knowledge of common medications, procedures, medical conditions, etc.
-Knowledge of vaccines and vaccination protocols.
-Polite, nice, approachable personality.
-Good at team work, delegating, time management, prioritizing, and attention to detail.
-Be able to handle many tasks at once and multiple phone lines.
-Good at giving and receiving constructive feedback.

INTEGRITY, RELIABILITY, EMPATHY, and KINDNESS are our top values. Our goal is to provide a comfortable experience for every patient and client that walks through our doors. This includes always doing our best, providing excellent medical services without undue stress or discomfort to our patients, and providing an exceptional customer service experience for our clients.

If you think we're the right place for you, come join this awesome team of great doctors and staff that will become your second family. We have a great benefits package for FT employees and our location can't be beat. We're close (walking distance) to a gym, Starbucks and DD, many food places, shopping, and more.
