Lake Metroparks is Hiring a Seasonal Concessionaire/Gate Keeper/Paddle Rental Near Fairport, OH

Concessionaire/Gate Keeper/Paddle Rental – Seasonal (Non-Exempt)

Rate: $10.50/hour – starting rate based on prior experience and education

Location: Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park, Fairport Harbor, OH 44077

Position Description:

Under direction of the Outdoor Education Manager, the Concessionaire assists the public in the concession area, paddle rental and admissions gate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Prepares, serves, and sells food service items to the public.
Represents Lake Metroparks in a positive manner, provides exceptional customer service, keeps concession areas clean and well maintained.
Assists with inventory, special events, and programs when required.
Assists with paddle rental operations, including moving kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and fitting life jackets.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

Basic skills in math.
Skilled in interpersonal communication and customer service.
Ability to handle money appropriately.
Ability to remain dependable.
Basic knowledge of Lake County.
Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Variable work schedule, up to 40 hours per week.
May be occasionally required to work flexible hours, weekends, evenings and holidays.
Must possess a valid drivers’ license and insurable on the Agency’s liability policy. Background check required.
